Send your specs to the fabricator who will build them: no sales layer, no black box quoting.
Industrial Plastics is a fabricator-led business. The engineer who reviews your enquiry works metres from the welders who will build your job, and every project follows the same five-step process with documented deliverables at each stage.
From specs to delivery in five steps
- Send your specs. Use the quote form with drawings, photos or a scope description. Five minutes is enough to start.
- Engineering review. A fabricator reviews the duty, materials and standards, then confirms receipt within one business day with a firm proposal date.
- Fabrication proposal. Fixed price, material specification, weld standard, test plan and lead time, all in writing.
- Fabrication and QA. DVS-qualified welders build to the approved drawings under our ISO 9001 system, with inspection and test records kept as we go.
- Delivery and handover. Freight or site installation, plus the full documentation pack listed below.

What we need from you to quote

- Drawings or sketches: PDF, DWG, DXF or STEP, or a dimensioned hand sketch for simple work.
- The duty: chemical and concentration, temperature, indoor or outdoor service.
- Capacity and footprint: required volume plus any site constraints on dimensions or access.
- Standards that apply: AS/NZS 4766, DVS 2205, food contact, or your project specification.
- Timeframe: when you need it delivered or installed.
Missing some of this? Send what you have. The engineering review exists to fill the gaps before anything is priced.
What you receive at project handover
- Inspection and test plan (ITP) with completed test records.
- Weld traceability: every weld mapped to a qualified welder.
- Material certificates for the sheet, rod and fittings used.
- As-built drawings where the scope includes design.
- Warranty and care documentation for the finished product.

Our response commitment
We confirm receipt of every enquiry within one business day and give you a firm proposal date after engineering review. Simple fabrications are usually priced within the week. Complex engineered tanks and process equipment take longer because an engineer sizes every wall thickness and weld, and you get a date rather than a guess.
Standards and certifications
Every project runs under our ISO 9001:2015 quality system, audited by SGS. Tank design and welding follow the German DVS 2205 and DVS 2207 standards, alongside AS/NZS 4766 where specified. Food contact and WaterMark requirements are engineered in from the start where the duty calls for them.
Why Industrial Plastics
Industrial Plastics has fabricated engineered thermoplastics from its Brisbane workshop since 1971. Every job runs under an SGS audited ISO 9001:2015 quality system, with welding by DVS 2207 qualified welders and per weld traceability, standards that sit above the AS/NZS minimums. Process and project engineers review every enquiry, and every delivery carries its documentation: material certificates, weld records, inspection and test plans, and as built drawings.
The workshop at Hemmant covers 2,000 square metres with hardstand for full volume hydro testing. Local, national and international shipping is available.
Frequently asked questions
PDF, DWG, DXF and STEP are all fine. For simple parts a dimensioned hand sketch or a photo with measurements is enough.
Yes. We design thermoplastic tanks and equipment to DVS 2205 in house, or fabricate to your engineer’s drawings. Either way you receive documented calculations and traceability.
Yes. We fabricate offsite in Brisbane and our welding teams install Australia wide, including live plant environments.
Anything transportable as one piece, and larger vessels as segments welded on site. Recent projects range from small dosing tanks to 45 cubic metre vessels.
Every project ships with its inspection and test plan, weld traceability and material certificates under our ISO 9001:2015 system.
