Build an Engineering Career That Goes Beyond the Drawing Board.
At Industrial Plastics, we’re looking for an ambitious Engineering Student or Graduate who wants more than a traditional graduate role.
This is an opportunity to work directly with customers, solve real engineering problems, manage projects from concept through to manufacture, and develop commercial skills that will set you apart for the rest of your career.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers while learning every aspect of our business—from technical sales and project management to manufacturing and customer relationships. As your confidence grows, you’ll take ownership of your own projects, customers and product range.
If you’re proactive, curious and enjoy working with people just as much as solving technical problems, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Be Doing
No two days are the same.
You’ll work across engineering, customer service, manufacturing and project management, gaining exposure to every stage of the customer journey.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to customer enquiries and identifying the best engineering solution
- Preparing quotations and technical proposals
- Managing projects from enquiry through to manufacture and delivery
- Working closely with our engineering and production teams
- Visiting the workshop to see your projects being built
- Building strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Following up opportunities and supporting business growth
- Gradually taking ownership of your own product range and customer portfolio
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys solving problems and isn’t afraid to pick up the phone or ask questions.
You’ll likely be:
- Studying Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Civil, Chemical or similar), or
- A recent Engineering Graduate.
You’ll also have:
- Excellent communication skills
- A proactive attitude and strong initiative
- Great organisational skills
- Confidence working with customers
- A genuine interest in manufacturing and engineering
- A willingness to learn and take on responsibility
Previous customer service, retail or hospitality experience is highly regarded. Great communication and people skills are just as valuable as technical knowledge.
If you’re looking for a graduate opportunity that offers real responsibility, meaningful projects and the chance to fast-track your career, we’d love to hear from you.
Submit your resume along with a short cover letter telling us why you’d be a great fit for the Industrial Plastics team.
