With the announcement of HDPE Liner Lite, Industrial Plastics understands that customers need various sizing options when it comes to finding a suitable HDPE Geomembrane Liner. Today we are showing the purpose and specifications for our plastic HDPE Liner and its use in pond and pontoon applications.
Our HDPE Geomembrane is popular with landscapers, marine companies and pontoon manufacturers. This is because of the HDPE’s material properties, which includes corrosion and chemical resistance, no issues in wet and/or submerged surfaces, UV stabilisation and long service life.
Customers use the HDPE Liner Geomembrane as a protective layer around their ponds or pontoon blocks/piles to provide weather protection in wet conditions. The product is better than traditional wood alternatives as it does not decay, meaning the HDPE Geomembrane has a longer service life with little to no maintenance required.
Pond and Pontoon Plastic Lining
The predominant uses for the product are pond lining or pontoon pile protection. This is because it is high quality and easy to install. The pond lining process involves laying the liner over the underlay and tightening so there is no slack. The liner then rests with weights (usually rocks) placed around the edge to keep it in place. The waterproof impermeable barrier created means the product is used for both large and small projects.

HDPE Geomembrane Liner is quickly becoming standard practice in the marine, pontoon and pond industries and continues to be one of our most popular products. Because of this growth, Industrial Plastics has introduced HDPE Liner Lite, a smaller sized Geomembrane more appropriate for your pond or pontoon projects.
