HDPE Liner Lite

Similar to the HDPE geomembrane, the Lite sheets come in smaller dimensions for more detailed projects. Most customers use the double-sided tape installation method rather than welding these smaller rolls as this simplifies the installation process. Plastic liner can be used for gardening and landscaping as pond liner or root barrier as well as many agricultural applications such as poly belting for cattle yards.

Material Specifications

  • Thickness: 0.5mm – 1.0mm
  • Width: 5m
  • Length: 10m
  • Material: HDPE
  • Colour: Black
  • Minimum order quantity: 50sqm

Geotextiles

UV and corrosion resistant permeable polymeric fabrics used to separate, filter, strengthen, and protect soil structures. Geotextile is often used in conjunction with other geosynthetics in soil structures to improve stability or drainage. They can also be used underneath plastic liner that is used in containment applications to cushion the underside of the liner to prevent punctures.

Material Specifications

  • Thickness: 1.7mm
  • Width: 5.8m
  • Length: 50m
  • Weight: 200g/m2
  • Material: 100% Polyester
  • Colour: White
  • Minimum order quantity: 290sqm

HDPE Geocells

These honeycomb looking structures, either textured or perforated, are a light, resistant and flexible solution to erosion control and soil stabilisation. They add sustainability to infrastructure projects, which makes them popular in green construction projects.

Material Specifications

  • Thickness: 1.0mm-1.2mm for smooth 1.5mm-1.7mm for textured
  • Cell depth: 50mm, 100mm, 150mm

Case Study

Industrial Plastics recently supplied 1mm HDPE Liner for a civil contracting services company that provides landfill services as well as stormwater and leachate management for the Lucas Heights resource recovery center in NSW. This site is licensed to accept 550,000 tons of waste per year.

Rainwater brings dangerous contaminants and can infiltrate into the landfill’s surrounding areas when it falls and passes through rotten rubbish. This liquid is highly polluting and cannot be allowed to escape into the surrounding ground or surface waters.

For this application the stormwater drains and leachate collection systems are lined with HDPE Liner to prevent stormwater and leachate escaping from the waste cells into the surrounding soil and water.
