For over a decade, Industrial Plastics has been designing, fabricating and delivering HDPE chutes and launders. Our customers trust we have the experience and capability to provide high quality, long-lasting launder products.
What are launders used for?
HDPE launders are plastic holding containers built to move effluent or other chemical products and are predominately used in the Australian mining and resources industry. Launders are most commonly used as a more efficient alternative to piping in mineral processing equipment, and various other applications where slurries, pulps or chemicals inhibit the use of pipe work. Since the beginning of Australia’s mining boom, we have produced many launders for our mining customers. Through launder fabrication, our quality and capabilities have improved to become industry leading, not only in launder design and fabrication but also other complex plastic fabrications.
What material do we use?
We fabricate with HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) because of its important material properties. They are:
- Resistance: High chemical and impact resistance, in addition to being immune to rust, rotting, insects, mildew, and mold.
- Life-Span: Because of its weather, chemical and impact resistance it can outlast most traditional materials.
- Weight and Malleability: HDPE plastic is light and can be quickly molded into any shape.
- Weatherability: HDPE is used in a variety of outdoor applications and can withstand some of the most extreme weather.
Industrial Plastics also integrate steel frames to ensure total security and stability over the products lifecycle (as pictured below).
