Here we see a small bypass tank used to hold heated water from a food processing setup. The high elevated temperature means that a suitable plastic must be used to be able to withstand these conditions.
Polypropylene is a high quality thermoplastic that is ideal for this application. However long term loading means additional reinforcing is required in the form of steel bands. This rectangular tank features custom overflow fittings and a two part removable lid with a built in inspection port for easy access.
This tanks design was dictated by both the customers temperature and process requirements, along with the fact it has to go into an extremely small room only accessible by a one meter doorway.
